Android App Suggestions from Lifehacker.com

The Android Market keeps growing, new phones are coming to seemingly every carrier, but finding the best, most useful stuff remains a challenge. We're helping out with 10 apps that get things done and make Android life easier.

We've previously posted our Android app picks, in two different lists of a dozen each. This list adds some recent discoveries and neat apps we've stumbled upon.

Here's Lifehackers most recent list of Android apps it recomends. Pretty good, Astro file browser is loads better than what I was using before; I don't really like SnapPhoto because of the reliability issues although don't write it off because in terms of functionality and features it is much better than the default app; and I don't think Sherpa's available in the UK Market place, but I've got a feeling Google Places Directory does a pretty similar thing.

Hit up the link to see the rest and be sure to ch-ch-check (street, aiiight) the two other posts (linked to in the excerpt) for more apps that may be of use to you.

cheers ^^

Judge orders Microsoft to stop selling Word | Microsoft - CNET News

In May, a federal jury in Tyler, Texas, ruled that the custom XML tagging features of Word 2003 and Word 2007 infringed on i4i's patent and ordered Microsoft to pay $200 million in the case.

In Tuesday's ruling, Microsoft was also ordered to pay an additional $40 million for willful infringement, as well as $37 million in prejudgment interest. The order requires Microsoft to comply with the injunction within 60 days and forbids Microsoft from testing, demonstrating, or marketing Word products containing the contested XML feature.

Microsoft can't sell Word anymore?! lol. I'm sure they'll find a way around it, but you might aswell start downloading OpenOffice.org now :P
